LaDainian Tomlinson is an American professional gridiron football player who was one of the most productive running backs in NFL history. He was born June 23, 1979 in Rosebud, Texas. He finished fourth in the voting for the Heisman Trophy in 2000 and was selected by the San Diego Chargers with the fifth overall pick in the first round of the NFL draft in 2001. In 2006, he broke both Shaun Alexander’s record for most touchdowns scored in one season and the one for most single-season points scored. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017.

LaDainian (fondly known as LT) wants to see young people achieve all that they can accomplish. He has started The LaDainian Tomlinson Preparatory Academy to prepare student athletes for success on the field but also in life. We are excited to recognize him as our honoree for our 25th-Year Youth About Business Celebration as his integrity on and off the field has been stellar. LT is the honoree for this year because, just as we are, he is committed to “preparing tomorrow’s leaders today.”

This year’s celebrations will take place Nov. 9 in Atlanta, Nov. 16 in New York, and Nov. 30 in Nashville.
