FAQs

Let us answer all of your questions.

How much does the Youth About Business Online Academy cost and what is included?

The total cost for the YAB Online Academy is $2,799. This cost includes a $299 fee for our Business Economy of America series and a $2,500 fee for the Summer Business Camp (for those that attend this portion of the training). The overwhelming majority of our students receive a corporate-sponsored, income-based scholarship of $2,000 for the Summer Business Camp. We work with most parents on covering the balance for their student’s participation. Once your student is selected, we will determine the level of scholarship funding they will receive. If a student qualifies for Championship Camp, there is no additional cost in our online virtual model.

How can I apply for a scholarship?

To apply for scholarship consideration, parents must submit proof of household income to [email protected]. Proof of household income can include the cover page of the most recent Tax Return (e.g. 1040EZ). YAB will use Adjusted Gross Income as our proxy for household income. Please remove sensitive information, like social security numbers, from the documents before you email them.

Can I join the Youth About Business Leadership Development program if I don't attend the Summer Business Camp?

How are students selected for the Youth About Business program?

Our students must exhibit a desire to want to succeed, have one teacher recommend them to the program, and write a one-page essay on why they would like to be a part of a leadership development program. Although we ask for student GPA, SAT and ACT scores (if they have them), students are not admitted based on these criteria. This is solely for data collection and tracking. Many students that have not traditionally done well in classroom-based learning models do well in our experiential model.

When will students be notified regarding program acceptance?

All students attending the Business Economy of America program will be notified by the third week of June. The Entrepreneurial Training program begins on the third Saturday of August each year. All acceptance notifications will be sent during the first week of August.
